About Me

Young Faith in Christ
Our Vision: To give every young person in the Parkland area the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Christ and begin the life long journey of becoming a disciple of Christ. Our mission: Unify and engage the faith community in order to reach young people with the Gospel of Christ and disciple them into the local church.

YFC is involved in the following 6 ministries:

Farmington Sk8 Park

In the past six years, hundreds, if not thousands of lives have been impacted as about 500-1,000 kids a week visit the Farmington Skate Park. A weekly class reaches 10-25 kids a week and countless mentoring opportunities have allowed us to make an impact in the areas of education, crime prevention, substance abuse and job training.

Youth Ministries Network
YFC holds several events annually. 4,000 - 7,,000 young lives are impacted through School Assemblies in 14 area schools and a closing event draws 3000. The annual Youth Service Day brings over 100 teenagers out for a day of community service. Other youth events include the “See You After the Pole Rally” and “Youth Fest”. These events reach youth in Arcadia Valley, Fredericktown, Farmington, Central, North County, West County, Bismarck, West County, Caledonia and Ste. Genevieve schools.

Path to Success
A mentoring program is active at the elementary school level, links caring adults with youth in need of a mentor. Mentors give 1 hour a week of their time.

Teen Parent Choices
This initiative connects trained adults with approximately 60 pregnant girls and teenage parents in programs designed to help them make good choices and establish a solid foundation in the lives of their families.

S.O.S. (Campus Clubs)
About 400 –700 kids will meet on Campus in meetings led and initiated by students, enabling them to send a positive message to their peers and grow in leadership skills. Current clubs are at the Farmington High, Middle and Elementary Schools, Central High and Middle School and North County High and Middle School. YFC also partners with other clubs in area schools as a resource.

Children’s Home
YFC visits the Farmington Children’s Home every week with a program that allows 10-20 kids to meet with caring adults who believe in them and will help them make right choices.
